A summary of the stage
Day 1
Individual arrival in Kashgar, organizational matters/vehicle instruction, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Kashgar
Day 2
Sightseeing in the oasis town of Kashgar, Id-Kah Mosque, visit to the bazaars, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Kashgar
Day 3
Stage for the day: Kashgar – Yecheng (240 km), Southern Silk Road towards the Himalayas, pass the Allyn Mosque, camp overnight near Yecheng
Day 4
Stage for the day: Yecheng – Akmequit (90 km), Tibetan plateaus, camp overnight near Akmequit
Day 5
Stage for the day: Akmequit – Dahongliutan (270 km), River Karakax He, cross the Koshbel Daban Pass (4,250 m), overnight in a guesthouse in Dahongliutan
Day 6
Stage for the day: Dahongliutan – Domar (380 km), Tibet-Xinjiang Highway, cross the Khital Pass, overnight in a guesthouse near Domar
Day 7
Stage for the day: Domar – Garyersa (370 km), a variety of driving conditions on gravel tracks and through fords, overnight in guesthouse at Garyersa
Day 8
Stage for the day: Garyersa – Mt. Kailash (6,714 m) (250 km), cross the Jerko La Pass, Mt. Kailash, camp overnight
Day 9
Stage for the day: Mt. Kailash – Baryang (310 km), Lake Manasarova, cross the Mayum La Pass (5,280 m), dinner together, overnight in a guesthouse in Baryang
Day 10
Stage for the day: Baryang – Saga (240 km), cross three passes (4,725 m, 4,650 m, 4,565 m), overnight in a simple guesthouse near Saga
Day 11
Stage for the day: Saga – New Tingri (280 km), China-Nepal highway at Lake Pelkhu Tso, cross pass, overnight in a guest house in New Tingri
Day 12
Day trip to Mt. Everest Base Camp (Chinese side) (270 km), Rongbuk monastery (4,980 m), overnight in a guest house in New Tingri
Day 13
Stage for the day: New Tingri – Shigatse (290 km), cross the Langpa La Pass (5,220 m) and the Tsuo La Pass (4,500 m), visit Tashilunpo Monastery, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Shigatse
Day 14
Stage for the day: Shigatse – Lhasa (200 km), river country on the Friendship Highway, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Lhasa
Day 15
Sightseeing in Lhasa, the Potala Palace and the ancient city, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Lhasa
