Classic Russia is where this stage takes us, offering an exciting mixture of famous and less well-known sights including the Kremlin, the old town of Nizhny Novgorod and many other destinations. A further climax to complete this stage is St. Petersburg, the city of Peter the Great, with the world-famous Hermitage and Nevsky Prospect.

The Omsk-St. Petersburg stage

Day 1

Individual arrival in Omsk, organizational matters/vehicle instruction, sightseeing in Omsk including St. Nikolsky Cathedral, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Omsk

Day 2

Stage for the day: Omsk – Tjumen (630 km), travel to Tyumen, the oldest Russian settlement in Siberia, camp overnight near Tyumen

Day 3

Stage for the day: Tjumen – Ekaterinburg (330 km), visit the "Cathedral on the Blood" in Ekaterinburg (monument to the last family of the Czars in Russia, murdered there), dinner together and overnight in hotel in Ekaterinburg

Day 4

Stage for the day: Ekaterinburg – Zlatoust (340 km), cross the border between Asia and Europe in Pervouralsk, travel through the Urals, camp overnight in the Urals near Zlatoust

Day 5

Stage for the day: Zlatoust – Bugulma (540 km), travel along a stretch of the Trans-Siberian Railway, camp overnight near Bugulma

Day 6

Stage for the day: Bugulma – Kuzneck (480 km), cross the Volga near the city of Samara, camp overnight near Kuzneck

Day 7

Stage for the day: Kuzneck – Niznij Novgorod (470 km), sightseeing in the ancient city of Niznij Novgorod (UNESCO World Heritage Site), dinner together and overnight in hotel in Niznij Novgorod

Day 8

Stage for the day: Niznij Novgorod – Moscow (420 km), dinner together and overnight in hotel in Moscow

Day 9

Sightseeing in Moscow including Red Square, the Kremlin and the Lenin Mausoleum, dinner together and overnight in hotel in Moscow
