Whilst in Beijing only the quarter around the imperial palace was declared off-limits, the title "Forbidden City" applied to the entire city of Vladivostok. The home of the Russian Pacific fleet has only been freely accessible since 1991. Whilst many tourists arrive individually on the Trans-Siberian railway, XWORLD approaches it on an exciting route through Inner Mongolia.
